I trimmed this out of a discussion board coz I thought 1) it's a great example of the type of dialog I'm hoping to see here and 2) it's great history. As to point 1, the trick is to bridge the gap between comments in dialog, which is easy, to stories posted in longer form and often as a solo effort...which is quite hard.
