George's Intro to Sierra Designs 1974 Southwest Catalog

This was the last of the documentary catalogs, trips to the great outdoor where our equipment could be showcased in actual surroundings.  This catalog had a combination of line drawings and photos. l do not recall much of the reaction to this one, but it does not make me think it was any thing more or less special, certainly not controversial.

As you can see we had not changed our ways too much and were still very casual in our dress and manners. This is one ofthe few times Bob had a mustache. He shaved it off shortly after this trip. The participants were Bob Swanson, Jean Nagy, Gary Hancock, Nick Lawrence (photographer), and Shiela Fostiak.

Great images. Many thanks.
Great images. Many thanks. Can't wait for the rest of the catalog. I recall that there was a similar Fall 1974 one as well. Most of the pictures were the same but I think the cover was different.
